Submission of documents for admission to VSMU (Vitebsk State Medical University
) by a foreign citizen
Step 1. Requirements for admission
To consider the issue of admission to study, the applicant must submit to the admission committee of the faculty for the training of foreign citizens:
Valid passport with expiration of validity not less than 1 year;
a document on complete secondary education with results in biology and chemistry above the average level (in Russian, English,).
In addition, the selection committee can request a document confirming the solvency of the applicant (or his sponsor).
Step 2. Receiving an invitation to study
Citizens of the countries of the visa regime need to receive an invitation to study for a Belarusian visa. The invitation is issued at the university with a positive decision on admission to study. The original invitation is sent by the University ONLY by regular mail.
Attention! An invitation to study issued by the university is the basis for obtaining a visa. The validity of the invitation is limited to 3 months from the date of approval of the invitation by the Citizenship and Migration Department. Plan your arrival date in accordance with this deadline.
Step 3. The deadline for applications
Applications for training are accepted until August 5, as the school year begins on September 1st. Applications submitted after the deadline will be considered individually.
In accordance with the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Belarus, admission to the first courses of foreign citizens is carried out until October 15, the preparatory department – until November 15. In the case of late filing of documents, invitations to study will be issued with a limited period of entry.
Step 4. Arrival for training
In accordance with the requirements of the border control authorities of the Republic of Belarus, as well as the General Consular Department, citizens who receive a visa at the consular department of the National Airport Minsk are required to notify the university about the date of arrival and the itinerary 15 days prior to arrival. A visa at the airport will be issued ONLY if all necessary documents are available and the official representative of the university is present.
To obtain a visa, you must have:
valid passport;
documents on secondary education, legalized in accordance with the established procedure;
a completed visa application form (http://mfa.gov.by/en/visa/info/visa-applications.html);
1 photo in the size 35х45;
a valid invitation to study;
a medical report on the full survey, indicating that the candidate is physically and mentally healthy and can be trained in the climatic conditions of the Republic of Belarus.
Step 5. Enrollment
The decision to enroll is made on the basis of the submitted documents and personal interview. After this, a contract is signed between the university and the applicant for the entire period of study. It is possible to conclude a contract for one year with a subsequent extension. The entrant is enrolled in the number of students only after making money for tuition and residence in the hostel.
Attention! If the documents are not in Russian, the applicant must submit a translation certified by a notary in the prescribed manner upon admission.
